AI isn’t a fad or the latest business trend, it is a technology that is well and truly here to stay. Just like the two most pivotal technologies that came before it – the printing press and the dawn of the internet – AI is inevitably going to change how the entire world functions. The main difference between AI and the other two pioneering inventions is that AI actually learns and teaches itself… and at a far greater speed and capacity than us ‘mere mortals’ can possibly comprehend. Of course, the role we play as human beings, particularly in the workplace, will change and we will have to adapt to this coming wave. Indeed, considerable speculation as to whether or not we will remain the dominant ‘species’ in the future is widely debated. In the meantime however, our ‘man-made’ commercial enterprises remain the backbone of the global economy and, in order to stay optimised and competitive, it is vital that all businesses embrace AI and become empowered by a new world of endless opportunities.
